Plagiarism is an obvious taboo but with today’s print, web, radio, tv, billboard, smart phone, and skywriting messages bombarding us constantly an idea can slip into our conscious thought and masquerade as one of our own.

One day I decided to add MORE WATER than the instructions called for. Put the top on and leave it on (unless I had to add more water). Keep the heat medium and turn it off way before the instructions said and just leave the rice to sit and absorb liquid and cook in it’s own heat for the last 5 minutes. After I figured this out, viola! Perfect rice every time. I tossed the instructions in the trash.

I do know that advertising does, [work]. What is the problem your customer has and how can you solve it? I dare you to do it in 20 seconds or less and then spend 4o seconds on all the crappy parts of your product. Say it that targeted and that effectively and you, too can work for drug-companies…or make a true impact for any other client.
